Navigating through the world of coding languages and building websites brought a lot of challenges, however, Rome wasn't built in a day, and this was just the perfect foundation to lay for my future in the tech industry. I'm really excited on taking on new thrilling user-friendly projects and equip myself even more.
Lessons are very structured as always. I love that we are building towards working on building a functional web application, and the lessons throughout are broken down to teach the essentials we need to learn for the HTML, CSS, and JS + how to use GIT and deploy the website in the end. Felt like we have a goal to work towards while learning the harder concept. It's also always so good to see Matt code it from scratch at the videos and see the way he tries to debug the code when it's not working. so helpful.
The Plus Add-on workshop was an insightful dive into JavaScript app development, focusing on creating a world clock application. With clear instructions it equipped me with practical skills and valuable insights for future projects. Overall, it was a highly beneficial experience.

I have zero background in the tech industry but after seeing the wonderful work life balance it has offered my husband, I became interested. I was scared to switch from something I am just getting comfortable with (nursing) and going to the complete polar opposite end. It really is like learning a new language but Matt and his SheCodes team have done a wonderful job of fitting it into bite sized pieces and offering enough opportunities to practice that you will in fact start speaking the language! It's a lot of fun. The best way I can describe it is being in an art class that asks you to replicate, or create, a piece of art with whatever means you know to get to it and its a puzzle! No one code is the same but the end product is very similar.
It has been a very tricky past weeks but I managed to get back on track with the work. very challenging, I can't say I didn't think of giving up when it came to the GIT and GitHub part but i pulled through. I'll forever be grateful.
Enrolling in SheCodes was one of the best decisions I've ever made. As someone with little to no coding experience, I was initially intimidated by the world of programming. However, from day one, the instructors' passion, expertise, and commitment to our success were evident. Navigating the complexities of version control & automated deployments was initially daunting but with perseverance & support , I triumphed. crafting the weather app with it's dynamic functionality and polished interface , epitomised the fusion of creativity & technical prowess. Despite the ocassional frustration, the process became exhilarating adventure, fueling my passion for web development. Deploying my projects online not only showcased my progress but instilled a profound sense of accomplishment .
