With this workshop, I learned a lot about responsive design, but I was also able to improve my previous knowledge from other SheCodes workshops. It was very interesting getting to know the building process of a webpage. Since the design and how we, as developers, will "translate" that design into code. I highly recommend it because I like the way Matt explains everything, I like the pace of the course, and also the real life examples given during the classes.
SheCodes React Workshop is a great way of learning a lot of react basics. Thanks to the many small challenges after each unit, you can apply what you have learned very quickly and later integrate it very well into the final project which is a lot of fun.
I'm glad to have had another chance to practice making a website responsive! As always, I learned a lot and look forward to doing another add-on.

Gaining knowledge about multiple pages, advanced HTML links, CSS variables and advanced flexbox techniques as well as how to integrate Bootstrap. Using Bootstrap CSS Utility classes, responsive grids, images and navigation is awesome. Learning about Responsive Testing, CSS Media Queries, Multiple page Hosting and SEO. This is the best investment i ever made. I learned so much about the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I am working in Digital Marketing and this program helped me to understand more about coding which allows me to set up even better Website Tracking Structures.
The SheCodes React module is a must complete. Challenging & attention demanding, it bothered me more than I'd like to admit for the first three weeks, but when it sunk in? Oh! So satisfying! It really highlighted how comfortable and confident I had become with coding regular JavaScript. Matt's instructions are always clear and concise, and when even that wasn't working I used the support of the SheCodes Slack channels to understand where I was going wrong. Spoiler alert, I was forgetting to restart the server. I am very excited to add the React Weather Search Engine to my Portfolio.

It can be very frustrating trying to get the prompt and context right so that the AI responses with the information you want but this was such a fun project to complete. I appreciate that AI is growing and growing and will not stop so being able to understand things like this in the future will be very important.

This course has suceeded where my other learning efforts have failed! Many years ago a colleague tried to teach me C# and that did not work... I have tried self learning over the years but it hasn't worked, the courses were either not pitched at the right level, or I would start and then stop... SheCodes is perfect as the learning is in bite sized chunks, the lessons are well structured and the weekly courses and homework keeps me engaged and on track.

This workshop was fun to learn. I created a recipe generator, that I will use when I get stuck for ideas in the kitchen. This example related to me more, as I am not crazy about poetry. At first, I was a bit intimidated to move away from Matt's example, thinking it would be more confusing to learn. I am excited that this was not the case. I found that it was easy to customise and encouraging to think of other AI projects I could create to streamline my everyday tasks!!

I'm hooked!! I've just completed the Basics Add-on course and have loved every minute. I've worked through CSS, understanding Backgrounds, how to make elements stand out using Transform and Grids and I'm now familiar in Class Manipulation too, using JavaScript to make changes to my HTML code. It's been a fun project to work through one of my hobbies and bring it to life through a landing page! Looking forward to progressing through the upcoming SheCodes courses.

SheCodes Responsive taught me how to create responsive websites that could be accessed on a mobile and desktop device and respond to the size of the screen. This course allowed me to understand how developers can create amazing websites that can be used on various devices without any issues. I learned how to manipulate the placement of my images, text and other elements to design an efficient and beautiful website. I was taught to successfully use Bootstrap to create grids, CSS Utility Classes to design responsive websites for smaller screens, and practiced adding Bootstrap classes to my elements to easily and quickly add style without having to access the CSS file. The SheCodes Slack team was amazing throughout the learning process, because creating responsive websites can get confusing and frustrating. With their help, I was able to navigate through the lessons with little to no anxiety that I would be stuck and on my own.
I am so happy and grateful for finding SheCodes! I started my new journey the best way with Matt, and his lessons. I've never thought I'd understand coding, let alone enjoy it, but here we are, and I'm ready to continue with the next course!

Having completed SheCodes Basics, I felt I needed to continue with coding as I felt I was only getting started! In this week Add On, I learned how to create CSS grids which was something I was looking for in the Basics homework. Overall, I feel this short course has enabled me to keep my coding skills fresh in my mind whilst building more advanced HTML, CSS and Javascript. I really enjoyed making the Final Project and towards the end I ended up tinkering with the CSS code and understanding where to put certain classes or hovers - something I definitely wouldn't have been able to do 3 weeks ago.
