Grateful to be part of the Delac Foundation where I learned about the Basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in the beginners course. One aspect I particularly appreciated was the challenge activities on every end of the lesson allowing me to apply the concepts I had learned before proceeding to the next lesson. This is an amazing intro into coding for anyone who has never done it before, no matter the age (I just turned 50). With the step by step videos and the encouragement to discover assistance from fellow students or the web, this course will give you a great foundation to continue learning or finding an entry level job.
This was a fun add-on to the basics course. I enjoyed having the opportunity to dive further into web design with colour schemes and animations, and I'm looking forward to continuing through the workshops.

Very challenging yet fun, the challenges really challenged me and will go back to a few just for further practice however this workshop was really informative and mind blowing. Although I was a bit behind schedule I'm proud to have completed it. There are some challenges I'm yet to practice on my own to test my understanding.

I never knew what coding is. Currently I have been able to carry out projects on css, html and javascript. This was one of the greatest learning experiences of my life. all the concepts were explained in detail.
It was definitely a step up from the basic course however, it was so rewarding when you got the code right and understood it.

A challenging but extremely fulfilling next step on my journey of learning to code. A fairly big jump from Shecodes Basics but, again, I'm just so glad a course like this exists! Re-coding the same web app from scratch in the final two weeks was an excellent way to cement the knowledge of everything learned along the way. One of my favourite things about this course was actually its 'imperfections'... Matt making mistakes and still including them in the final recordings helps give a realistic view of the process of coding - no better way to learn than from mistakes! The Shecodes slack was incredibly helpful when something wasn't working out too. Thank you π

The initial phase of this coding journey was something I really enjoyed. It was challenging; sometimes my scripts didn't work, so I had to look for solutions, which helped me find new ways to do something. I've learned a lot!
Phew! This add-on was more challenging than the initial workshop it's based on... but it was just as satisfying to complete! I can't believe I've already created two projects since I joined SheCodes; it's only been a few weeks! For anyone else who is trying to learn code, be kind and patient with yourself. Take breaks and look at other sources for inspiration. Trust me; it'll all be worth it in the end! π
