The SheCodes Plus workshop was not an easy one to learn, especially when it came to learning API Integration. Juggling work and learning coding was also not easy, but I managed to do it and get this certificate as the video lessons were not long and were precise. Matt is also very good at explaining things to a beginner. That is what made the lessons easy to understand. He teaches as if he knows what a beginner would most likely want to know.
SheCodes has unlocked a world of possibilities for me. I never knew how exciting front end development could be. I've mastered the basics and I'm enjoying the learning approach they use as it so well explained and easy to understand. Im hopeful about finishing SheCodes Plus and getting into the tech industry

I really enjoyed this very practical course to build a World Clock web app. It was a really good challenge, putting everything I've learnt so far to use and learning more JavaScript functions. I can see myself improving with JavaScript the more I practice.
The SheCodes basics coding workshop has helped break the misconceptions which I had about coding. I now know that coding is not just meant for people who are good at mathematics as I had thought. All coding needs is an open mind and the willingness to learn. The ability to be creative is also a big plus when it comes to web designing.

Furthermore, I learned how to deploy my projects using platforms like Netlify, gaining firsthand experience in real-world development practices. The highlight of my experience has been creating a 5-day weather forecast app, where I applied diverse skills like API integration and UI design. The supportive community and comprehensive curriculum have been instrumental in my learning journey. I successfully tackled numerous challenges by leveraging the knowledge-sharing platform of Slack, where I could find solutions and tips from my fellow SheCodes peers who had encountered similar issues. I have been browsing for a coding course and I was glad to have found SheCodes for its flexibility and cost. The lessons were easy to follow and you get to apply your knowledge into the challenges. It has showed me that it is actually easier to build a website using the codes! Highly recommended to anyone who is interested to learn coding and add new skills.
As a recent Shecodes Plus AddOn coding workshop participant, I can confidently say that this experience has been transformative, and I learned so much. This course is perfect for anyone with no coding experience. I have to admit that it is very entertaining, but also catchy. You will quickly dispel the prejudice that this is a boring job if you ever had one. In any case, you can already learn a lot in a short period of time, but also understand that coding is a serious step that you decide to take. If you have decided to take that step, do not hesitate to continue with other courses! thank you SheCodes for a fantastic experience on this Basic course!
The SheCodes Plus workshop challenged my coding skills, with moments of both confidence and uncertainty. However, achieving my certificate signifies my ultimate success.
As someone who already have experience within development, it's always nice to get the basics refreshed, but this is on the very basic level. I will definitely recommend the basic course to completely new developers, Matt is very good at descriping what he does and show helpful websites for specific situations. The homework is a good way of keeping you motivated and put to use what you have learned thoughout the week. The pacing is also super nice, you can take it in your own pace and I personally didn't feel rushed or felt it was too slow. But if you already have some experience in the field, unless you're looking to get some refreshers or are interested in some of the other SheCodes courses, I might look elsewhere.

The add-on is good to understand the different languages better and also gives you a bit more training while also learning new parts of CSS; HTML and Javascript.
Love the friendly, and humourous style of teaching from Matt. Some parts of the course was a bit challenging to understand at the start, but with trial and error and persistence - got there in the end!
Doing this program has really taught me a lot. I've been challenged a lot which has made to become better and also to get out of my way and learn the technical stuff in web development. Great workshop, but this was the most difficult one yet. For me, anyway! Thankfully Matt talks you through it the whole way as usual. :) It was very educational to build another weather app using React after having made one with vanilla JS earlier. It's useful to see two different approaches to the same kind of end result. And of course you end up with a great addition to your portfolio.
It was a very challenging 8 weeks, but I made it.
I really enjoyed working on this project and learning how to add embed videos/photos to a website, using CSS filter to create a visually appealing hero, and more advance grid skills.

Never thought Python was something I could learn and tackle but Matt and SheCodes made it possible because of how the course is structured. Going step by step with detailed explanations about each lesson made it worth it to learn and now I can happily add Python to my set of coding skills!

One of the most lovely workshop for me, I really enjoyed building the final project with advance tools like how to make responsive website to any screen size, multi-page websites , host the code on GitHub, advanced Bootstrap (Navigation, Utility Classes, etc.), Flexbox, Multiple Page Hosting, Media Queries and more.
