The SheCodes Responsive class helped me understand how to make a website look good on both desktop and mobile. Building my New Orleans travel project gave me hands-on practice with grids, cards, embeds, CSS filters, and tables. I’m proud that I can turn a creative idea into a site that works across screen sizes.

Python was challenging. Definitely different from VSC. But trudged through it. Proud of myself.

Challenging, but worth every moment of just staring at your code wondering what you are missing 🤭. The bite-size chunks of learning and weekly deadlines help with time-management. I still cannot believe what I've learned in a matter of 8 weeks and what I was able to achieve with the final project. I cannot recommend SheCodes more than I've already done. I wish everyone could have the opportunity to be introduced to coding. Matt makes coding seem possible and achievable. Thanks for creating these courses.

SheCodes React did a fantastic job of breaking down complex front-end concepts like hooks and dynamic API integration into clear, actionable lessons. Building a fully functional weather application from scratch gave me the practical coding experience and independence I needed to level up my portfolio. The structured curriculum focuses on real-world engineering logic, giving me the tools and confidence to successfully tackle future development roles.

I absolutely love Python! Learning with Matt was incredibly smooth, and his teaching method really sets this course apart. The logic behind the language makes so much sense, and I am highly motivated to take the advanced course next.

This was a tough one but I am proud of the basics and tips I learnt so that I can built an interactive app on my own. Totally recommend it.

I particularly enjoyed working with React components, state and props, asynchronous functions and API integrations. For this project, I worked with the SheCodes AI API and Pexels API to create dynamic content based on the city searched by the user, as well as Google Maps integration and a responsive editorial-style layout using CSS Grid and Flexbox. I also got to practise handling loading and error states, working with environment variables. What I liked most was being able to take the initial workshop concept and develop it further into a more complete and personalised application. It was a great way to strengthen both my technical skills and my confidence in building a React project independently.

Coming from a social media marketing background, I wanted to learn how to use AI to bring more of my ideas to life. SheCodes Basic AI gave me the chance to try something new and work on a project that felt personal to me. I did overthink things along the way, but seeing my ideas become an actual website made it worth it. I’m proud of finishing the course and excited to keep learning!

This program completely transformed my approach to coding. This workshop was quite challenging. At the beginning it seems like everything make sense, but after you learn about API and how to more improve your weather app, it will confuse you a little. But I think with this workshop it was easier to understand and get the connection between HTML, JavaScript and API. I enjoy this coding and will recommend! :)

This was fun to make your own website and learn how to make a website responsive without using bootstrap.

I feel I have a decent basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript now. I wanted to dip my toe into the world of coding to see if it interested me; I didn't want to commit to a lengthy in-person course, but I didn't want to teach myself with free online resources either as I know I learn better with assigned tasks and deadlines to work towards. This was a good compromise where it's a pretty-much self-directed course with assigned goals and deadlines.

I always wanted to learn how to code, but it seemed way too complicated. Because of that, I kept putting it off for a long time. Ever since I started with SheCodes Basic, that has completely changed! The lessons are super clear and well-structured, and the combination of theory and practical challenges makes it a lot of fun to do. In a short amount of time, I already knew how to build my own webpage. I'm so glad I finally took the leap and can see my own progress unfold.

More difficult to follow along and understand than other workshops.

I really enjoyed the SheCodes React Workshop and, most importantly, I feel that I’ve learned a lot by putting everything into practice with my own project. For this project, I built a fully functional English Dictionary App using React, working with reusable components, React state, conditional rendering and asynchronous API requests. I integrated the SheCodes Dictionary API, Pexels API and SheCodes AI API to create features such as definitions, translations, pronunciation, visual context and AI-assisted grammar explanations. One of the most valuable parts of the workshop was learning how to structure a React application properly and understand how different components can work together while keeping the code organised and maintainable. I also gained more confidence working with APIs, handling loading and error states, managing user interactions and building a responsive interface for different screen sizes. This project really helped me move from understanding React concepts individually to actually bringing them together in a complete application. I’m very happy with the result and, even more importantly, with how much more confident I feel building with React now. Thank you, SheCodes! 💜

Before this workshop, the word “coding” honestly intimidated me. I never imagined that I would become comfortable doing anything that involved code, let alone building functional websites and prototypes that actually work. The SheCodes workshop changed that for me.Through the hands-on projects, I discovered that coding could be accessible, creative, and genuinely fun. Lovable helped me break through the fear I had around coding and gave me the confidence to experiment, make mistakes, troubleshoot, refine my ideas, and keep building. I learned more about frontend development, responsive design, website structure, content, SEO, metadata, and how to turn an idea into a working digital product using AI-assisted development. What made the experience even more meaningful was that I wasn't simply following tutorials—I was building real projects. I created websites and prototypes that I can continue developing beyond the workshop. I am now planning to connect my own domains and make some of these projects fully public outside Lovable. That alone is something I never thought I would confidently say before starting this journey. The lessons were explained so well, and every project gave me an opportunity to learn something new while having fun. I especially loved the freedom to bring my own ideas to life and see them transform from concepts into functional prototypes. Most importantly, this experience taught me that fear doesn't always mean “I can't.” Sometimes it simply means “I haven't tried yet.” I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity, the scholarship, and everyone who made this learning experience possible. Stepping out of the Pharmacology space and into web development felt a bit intimidating at first, but I absolutely loved my SheCodes experience! It is a great programme that is beginner-friendly. The content is well put together and easy to follow, which makes the whole course enjoyable, with very detailed material that allows candidate to be able to do the work even on their own and not keep going back to the material.

What took me most by surprise in this course was not only learning new AI tools or discovering how to build websites with AI, but the level of instruction, precision, and attention to detail throughout the entire development process. I have always heard the phrase, “It’s all in the details,” but this course allowed me to see what that really means in practice. The instructions were not simply about what the AI should follow; they reflected principles that any good programmer or developer should follow. What stood out to me was how the course covered details at every stage — from design and user experience to the details that affect a website's first impression, such as Open Graph (OG) metadata and SEO, as well as performance, accessibility, structure, and implementation. Another valuable aspect was having access to instructor-created guides and tools covering both frontend and backend development with each topic supported by practical, learnable content rather than simply presenting a tool and expecting the learner to figure everything out independently. For me, this is what makes the course much more than an AI basics course. Even someone who already has development or AI knowledge can benefit from it because it strengthens and organizes that knowledge while introducing better practices and workflows. I would describe it as a package of broader skills for AI, software development, and modern digital product building. It does not just teach you how to use AI; it helps you understand how to use it while still thinking like a developer — paying attention to the details that ultimately make a product stand out.

Finishing my final project with SheCodes has been such an amazing and empowering experience! Taking both the traditional coding courses and the new AI Basics courses has been an absolute gamechanger for me. I started out learning the foundational building blocks by hand-coding with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. From there, I jumped into using AI tools to quickly build out beautiful layouts, set up user sign-in screens, and bring my ideas to life faster than ever. We definitely hit some frustrating real-world snags along the way, like the page crashing on mobile screens and layout buttons freezing up right at the finish line. But fighting through those errors and learning how to fix them is exactly what taught me how to think like a real developer. Plus the checklist came in handy at the end. I am walking away with a final dashboard project that I am 1000% happy with, more than 6 completed projects to show off on my GitHub, and the confidence to keep building bigger things. The SheCodes Plus AI workshop gave me incredible insights into building functional and beautiful applications using artificial intelligence in just two weeks. I mastered prompt engineering for and learned how to seamlessly integrate an AI API into my code. Building an interactive text generator gave me great hands-on experience with AI tools.I highly recommend this course for anyone looking to quickly upgrade their tech skills!

I really enjoyed the Python AI workshop. I moved through it quite quickly because I’d already worked with APIs in the SheCodes front-end courses, but it was useful seeing how the same ideas work in Python. Building a travel planner that combined user input, live weather data and AI-generated results made the lessons feel practical, and I finished with much more confidence using functions, APIs and prompts together.

It was easy to follow, well-structured, and helped me build a good foundation. I’ve gained more confidence with coding and learned a lot. I would definitely recommend it!

Although I'm from a different field (healthcare), I was able to learn a lot because of the easy and gradual language. I recommend it to everyone.

Fun Project!

The SheCodes AI Basics course was so easy to follow and a smooth experience! The lessons were bite-sized, practical, and easy to follow, no overwhelming jargon, just clear explanations that built on each other step by step. I went from feeling unsure about AI concepts to actually understanding how to apply them, all without it feeling like a heavy lift. Highly recommend it if you want a low-stress, high-value way to get up to speed on AI fundamentals!

I wanted to start creating my own web pages. I really like this module and learned the basics to start coding, I am willing to continue this journey and learn more. You get immediate feedback to fix any issue, you get in the coding homework!

It was great. I learned a lot of new and a bit more difficult concepts.

I really enjoyed the course. Found it challenging at times but in a good way. The reason I'm only giving it 4 stars is because there was no way I could have finished it all doing just 5 hours a week, but I did write a lot of notes to look back on.

Learning about the things you can do with advanced knowledge of Python has been interesting. I am able to understand a little more about how it could be integrated into real life things that I can build in the future

In times of AI, I thought it would be extremely helpful to learn how to implement AI into coding, and this Plus AI module did the best to teach me this. I am very happy that I made this experience and learned so much about AI and coding and how those fields could go well together. It is not about AI replacing coding, but about using the AI to make coding and the experience for the users even better.
