As a designer, I found the classes very enjoyable. Understanding the basics of coding can indeed bridge the gap between design and development, allowing for more seamless collaboration and innovation.
I'm here before you today, permanently altered by the experience of learning React! I was recently immersed in the land of spaghetti code. JavaScript felt like a tangled mess, and creating user interfaces was a continual challenge. Updates often had unforeseen implications, and debugging felt like a guessing game. Then I discovered React,Β It wasn't a walk in the park but a new way of building web applications unfolded before me. React has empowered me to create a more enjoyable development experience and deliver better web applications. It was a great challenging experience.
The SheCodes Responsive Add-On Front-End workshop was an enriching experience that provided enjoyment and valuable insights. Through interactive sessions and practical projects, I delved deeper into advanced responsive concepts. React was the most challenging of the workshops for me. However, instructor Matt did a great job of explaining the concepts. He definitely has a gift for teaching! The project was a valuable tool for reinforcing the concepts. It is great to have a product to showcase what I learned.

I loved the workshop. I really enjoyed learning the API Intergrations even though it was challenging , but it was fun especially after solving some tasks.
βMatt does a great job of breaking the content down into digestible bites without overwhelming you. He is also realistic. He encourages you to use the resources available to you without trying to memorize every piece of code. I will definitely continue learning with SheCodes!β

SheCodes was a game-changer for me! I've done HTML, CSS, and javascript in high School and during my first year of uni but Matt was by the best instructor and made everything so simple to understand. I definitely enjoyed this course. The information is well put together in a way that is really easy to understand and being able to schedule when you want to start your lessons and delay them really made things so efficient for me as a student so I can work on my own pace and not feel overwhelmed.

The basic Add-on has been fun and little challenging at the same time. I had an amazing experience and it was great to learn more new things. The hands on homeworks and the project has allowed me to apply what I learned and I got to learn more practical experience. The instructors were so helpful to guide me through the challanges.

I've always found the idea of coding a bit intimidating because off all the available languages and the fact that I didn't know where I would even start. Learning with Matt through SheCodes has been an amazing experience. The lessons are interesting and move at a pace that it is never boring or overwhelming. Yes, you have to start thinking outside the box at times, but that's what learning is about. One thing that stands out, is his concepts of test the codes before moving on to the next. The Add-on workshop was a great extension to the Basics workshop to deepen the knowledge I learned.
I recently completed the SheCodes Plus program, and I can't say enough about how valuable the experience has been for me. As someone with a basic understanding of coding, I was looking to take my skills to the next level, and SheCodes Plus exceeded my expectations. The course material is comprehensive yet accessible, and the hands-on projects provided me with the practical experience I needed to feel confident in my abilities. It was very easy to follow and I loved that there were tasks(challenges) and homework that I had to do!

SheCodes has been great way to learn coding and meet other women from around the world. It's a relatively simple program with a great "go at your pace" structure. I like that there are deadlines in place to encourage time management and appreciate the flexibility when life gets involved. I'm very much looking forward to this journey and excited to see where it goes. Highly recommend for women who have been curious about coding but have no idea where to start.

SheCodes helped me understand code better than any program I ever attended. The pace was was great for someone like me who works around the clock with law enforcement. I have always wanted to learn how to code. Fortunately for me, I Came across SheCodes on Tiktok. The sign-up process was relatively easy and they took about a week to respond. I enjoyed the Basics workshop so much. Matt made everything so easy to understand and apply. Also you can work at your own pace , so if you are a busy person like me, you don't have to worry .I am looking forward to the other workshops.
What a blast! Another great addition. Despite having some prior Python experience, Matt's teaching really made things click for me. Revisiting the weather app project in Python was a highlightβit was both fun and practical. Overall, I feel much more confident in my coding abilities now. This project was super fun! took a lot of brainstorming and passed knowledge to build but was worth it! I really enjoy putting my own spin on these projects and pushing myself to be more adventurous!

It was intense, especially the Javascript part, but it's so satisfying to be able to do it alone. I'd also like to thank the wonderful community. There's always someone there to help or explain mistakes. Just a few weeks ago, I didn't know about the API, GitHub or Netlify. I'm delighted with everything I've learnt and the rest to come: AI, React, Responsive and Python.

Excited for more! Honestly, did not know what to expect but i'm very impressed with the knowledge, interaction, pace of the workshops and simplicity with which Matt shares new knowledge and information. i also enjoyed that, despite the learning part, Matt challenges you to find "missing pieces" that will help you complete the challenge. Totally and absolutely worth the time and money investment in learning new skill that will help you reach your goals!
I would recommend this workshop 10/10.
Coding requires strong attention to detail. When you write computer code, you pour over long lines of coded text. You inspect binary code and look for errors. Having the ability to pay attention to details helps. I'm very grateful for the opportunity given.
One of the hardest workshop so far but I was looking forward to learning about AI and learning how it comes to be. Now I know how to create one! This makes me feel so proud. I think I might do another one for recipes because I love cooking new dishes for fun.
