As the student pursuing the Diploma in IT(Software Development) , I joined the SheCodes Program Basics , to further enhance my skills and confidence as I prepare to tech industry. The program exceeded my expectations, offering the clear , practical lessons that helped me strengthen my coding abilities. It was great to refresh my coding skills with this new add-on workshop. I did it in one day, just could not stop coding. Using CSS grid and animations, as well as changing theme with Java Script are great additions to my web developer skill set. Really enjoyed this little project which helped me to finally put together all my favourite coding resources. Matt managed to explain concepts in his usual easy-to-understand manner. I had a lot of fun choosing images, picking colour palette, playing around with different types of animations and filters. Coding is addicting!

The Basics course is well structured. The daily challenges gave me something to look forward to and contributed so much to my enthusiasm for learning coding. I work in communications and have to design webpages, etc., but I had a limited understanding of what things actually mean. Now, I am so proud of myself for doing this course. I highly recommend this course, especially for beginners. It is project-based so students can solidify what they learnt through practice. It also takes time to make sure we understand the basics so we can have a solid foundation for future upgrades on our journey in the tech industry.

I like it how Matt regularly reminds us ‘it's so powerful’. There is no better word to explain the reality of deploying these languages to build whatever you may imagine specially with the help of chatGPT it has even become more powerful.

Before joining SheCodes, I was completely clueless about coding and it looked very difficult, I always thought it was something out of reach for me. But after the SheCodes classes I am starting to enjoy coding and it's no longer something that is very difficult for me.

One of the best workshops honestly. My interest in web-development just grew so much more, especially my interest in JavaScript. Matt explains everything so well and makes everything easy to understand and apply. The best teacher. Literally!!!

Basics Add-On was a great continuation of the Basics course.

Definitely challenging! The final project helped reinforce everything I learned—especially around Bootstrap, utility classes, and media queries. Building a multi-page, fully responsive portfolio involved a lot of refining and repetition, which really helped solidify the concepts taught in this workshop. I’m looking forward to continuing with the Responsive add-on next, then moving into React. I’m also excited to keep building out my portfolio with past projects, personal passion pieces, and eventually real-world client work that reflects my growth as a developer.

I had wanted to join the SheCodes program for several years, and this year I finally had the opportunity. I learned a lot in the Basics course, and the materials provided helped me a lot during the challenges and assignments. So far, the program is meeting all my expectations.

This course is very tough and I had a lot of trouble absorbing the information, but we did it.

I really enjoyed the simplicity of Python. I work with Python developers every day so it is nice to really understand what they are coding.

Honestly, I can't believe that I have managed to complete the Shecodes basic coding. I am so happy, coming from a fashion and hospitality background, I wanted a change and to get new skills. I have always loved CODING, but was intimidated by it. I am a Christian, so I spent some time asking God what I should do. And whilst I was in that season of prayer, waiting for an answer from the Lord, I came across SheCodes Ad, and I knew this was what I needed. I am 47 and a single mom, and I am so grateful to God that I am learning coding. I love everything, and I honestly want to say a big THANK YOU to Matt, you are such a blessing and an amazing Teacher. I am just starting my journey as I am doing the SheCodes BootCamp, but I am so glad that I can complete the SheCodes Basic Course. Now onto the next course 😁

Building these projects helped me learn how to use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in real ways. I got better at creating layouts, adding styles, and making things interactive. It was fun to see my work come to life and grow my skills with each project.

I found the Python Basics workshop to be a great introduction to Python. I found the workshop well-structured, and enjoyed completing the challenges and the final project for the workshop.

I am enjoying this so much. It's a bit of a refresher for me so far. I have learned a few new things and been reminded of a few I had forgotten. I have found these courses to be great fun yet challenging. I really love the course format, which allows me to focus on the core competency that is being highlighted by each workshop without having to be dragged into the weeds with minutia. I am looking forward to moving beyond the Basics and learning some new technology. I know I am going to love it already.

Python is a bit of challenging..but I'm sure once I know how to do and how to solve the problems, should be fine:)
