There are lots of moving parts, an I'm not the most confident when it comes to visual / design projects, but I always have enough resources and support to figure it all out! Sometimes I really can't believe how much I've learned.
I just completed the SheCodes Basics Add-On Workshop, and it was a fantastic experience! The workshop provided me with the perfect opportunity to deepen my understanding of coding concepts I learned in the main course. The hands-on projects were engaging and helped me apply what I had learned in a practical way.
I am really grateful for being part of the SheCodes family. I did NOT know anything about coding at all when I started about 3 months ago, today I am able to build websites from scratch. It was not easy, but it was fun and I learnt so much. I am looking forward to taking up more lessons and just to learn as much as I can. Plus has been a ride. I can say I finally get it why developers are always stuck on their screen. From getting frustrated by a bug to realising that only a simple attribute is holding me back I realised that it is very important to know what you are coding. Monkey see monkey do did no work this time. I had to rewatch tutorials to understand what is being coded and how it is being coded. A big thank you to Matt for these insights and the confidence.

SheCodes Basics was just what I needed for a coding introduction. I love how each lesson comes with a video tutorial, and everything is explained so nicely. I also really appreciate the online community through Slack!
It was an informative workshop
at the beginning of this workshop, i did not believe that i could do it, but i began to enjoy tackling the challenges and i realized that i just had to put my mind into it and coding is not so bad after all π
I had a lot of fun following this course! I found the lessons to be very engaging and like Matt's teaching style and sense of humor. I have been pretty intimidated to explore the world of programming and found this to be a great introduction - breaking the concepts down very well and making it accessible and fun. I really enjoyed working on each project.
Although a bit difficult, this was fun. It was a challenge because I only had time at midnight and had early mornings.However, I learnt new things and with the help of Slack threads, I managed to find my way through it.

After working on my skills in JS for a while, I just finished the Python workshop with SheCodes, and it was such a great experience! The lessons were super easy to follow. I picked up some really useful skills that Iβm excited to use in the future and continue to the Python Advanced workshop.
It's been quite great. I found it easier, much easier to do than when I was doing the Introduction/Basics Course.
I had never coded before taking this workshop, which was a great introduction to coding. It was a lot of fun! The video sessions were short and efficient, followed by practical exercises. I loved interacting with Ahtena, the AI assistant. Thanks to the team!

Building my weather app was both a challenging and rewarding experience. At first, I felt overwhelmed by all the moving partsβintegrating the API, displaying accurate forecasts, and making sure the icons and temperatures worked perfectly. There were moments when I doubted myself, especially when things didnβt display as expected. But through persistence, problem-solving, and a lot of trial and error, I slowly started to piece everything together. Debugging each issue, step by step, helped me grow more confident in my skills. I learned the importance of patience and seeking out solutions, no matter how tricky the problem seemed. By the end of the process, I not only had a functional weather app, but I also felt a real sense of accomplishment. It reminded me that challenges are just opportunities for growth, and with determination, thereβs nothing I canβt conquer. I'd like to thank Matt and the team, y'all are amazing. As someone who started with no knowledge of coding, I can now confidently say I've learned so much through SheCodes! The experience has been incredible. Matt is an excellent teacher who guides you through each step while also introducing new challenges, giving you the opportunity to explore and learn on your own. I especially appreciated the accountability aspect of the program, with due dates for homework that kept me motivated, even though it was challenging to meet deadlines while balancing a full-time job. Now, I have something to show for my portfolio! I can't wait to continue my SheCodes journey.

I found the Advanced Python course really helpful at consolidating my understanding of python and its usages. I particularly enjoyed the homework, where I created a line-graph using real life data.
