I thought this was a great addition for AI add on, It really helped learn more on how things all work.
Coming from HTML/CSS/JavaScript, Python's indentation-based structure felt so different - no more curly braces or semicolons! With JavaScript, I was used to seeing immediate visual changes in the browser, so Python felt more abstract at first. But its readability was amazing, and learning to think about data processing instead of just styling was a complete mental shift.
This was a hectic but fun section, very informative and helps in understanding the use of APIs

I always enjoy the add-on courses because they really help reinforce the concepts. The Plus Add-On course gave me solid practice with select and event functions, as well as using libraries to update data. The world clock project was a great way to practice those skills into action.
I couldn't have asked for a better experience! I needed to build a portfolio, and it was a wonderful surprise to find that this course was dedicated to creating a polished, responsive one from scratch. Have loved the SheCodes Basic programme. So much so, I have just signed up to complete SheCodes Plus! I am a Content Manager in my day job and looking to branch out to more freelance work. With my content knowledge, now combined with coding, I feel unstoppable! The classes are well-thought out and Matt's videos are easy to follow. I also like that Matt mentions that you might get frustrated and not to worry. I can be a perfectionist and want to be good at something immediately, so Matt's words feel comforting and let me know I don't need to be an expert right away (especially whilst trying to get my head round Javascript!). When the code doesn't work it can be demotivating but nothing beats te feeling of seeing your code run without errors and understanding the language.

This workshop explored AI capabilities and guided us in building a text-generating tool using an AI API. I built on my HTML, CSS, and JavaScript knowledge, learning about Prompt Engineering, JavaScript plugins, CSS manipulation via JS, and UX Design. Although I still find JavaScript more challenging than HTML and CSS, the workshop helped me grow in that area. Those confident in JavaScript may find it more straightforward.

Adding JavaScript to HTML was very interesting and more on the challenging side, but the instructor took it step by step and made everything possible. I didn't know I was capable until I put my mind to it. To more learning!

The shecodes basics workshop was easy to follow and taught me a lot about CSS, HTML and a little javascript. As a beginner in web development, this workshop made me understand the underlying structure behind all the websites I visit daily. It also taught me how to build some of that structure on my own.
I reallyenjoyed SheCodes basics. Matt was also such good teacher that even with no IT background it was still easy and enjoyable experience for me.

I recently completed the Basics Add-on workshop and must say it was incredibly educational and insightful. The workshop pushed me out of my comfort zone, but with Mattβs excellent instruction, I was able to grasp the concepts and gain new skills.
Building my SheCodes Add-On project was an experience of deep growth, creativity, and self-trust. This wasnβt just about writing code ,it was about learning to express my vision with clarity, structure, and elegance in the digital space. Through this workshop, I strengthened my understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, but more importantly, I learned how to problem-solve, experiment, and bring ideas to life line by line. I used everything from layout techniques and font styling to hover effects, responsive image grids, and even dark mode toggles. Every challenge I faced taught me something new, not just technically, but personally. My final project, Mirembe Muse, is more than a landing page. Itβs a visual love letter to the values I believe in: natural beauty, ancestral healing, and self-devotion. Watching it come together with code I wrote myself has been incredibly empowering. Iβm walking away from this Add-On experience not only with a finished website Iβm proud of, but with confidence in my growing tech skills. Coding is one of those things that makes you go crazy while doing it because you can make a really tiny mistake, and it could prevent your code from working. However, I really love it because it challenges my mind and gives me something to think about. Enrolling for these coding lessons is one of the best decisions I have made in my life. π
