It was a rewarding project to build a responsive website from scratch, based on a topic that holds personal significance. (It gave me the opportunity to research and create a page for an upcoming port on my daughter's study abroad journey with Semester at Sea)

What a journey! I started my path at She Codes right after my first child was born because I wanted to change my career. In the meantime, an irresistible job opportunity came up, and I ended up putting She Codes on hold. Now, after having my second child, I finished the Plus! Iβm still going to do the Responsive and React courses, but Iβm very happy and proud of my coding journey.

Making the dictionary app was really challenging & fun at the same time. By doing this project, it gives me a deeper understanding of integrating multiple APIs at once & allowing me to realise that how important integrating APIs are for websites.
As someone who is currently studying Applied Mathematics at University, within 3 weeks I got to learn and quickly grasp as well as thoroughly understand the basics concepts of HTML, CSS and JavaScript through SheCodes which is something that not even my university lectures could do. Matt indeed is an excellent instructor, he explains everything consisely and each lesson; though brief; is very insightful given that this page is made for busy women. I enjoyed every bit of learning and had a lot of fun doing the homework, the final project was the cherry on top. It also helps being open and broad, seeking information from external resources just as Matt instructed. I felt like a professional coder even though I knew that this is only just the beginning. The entire team collectively is very quick to attend to technical problems and quite inviting and respectful. This has been such a wonderful and exhilarating journey.
