Matt and the SheCodes team has done a fantastic job breaking down the steps and helping everyone learn coding.
Before enrolling in this 'HTML, CSS & JS Basic Add-On,' I had completed the main course for my web development certificate. I understood the theory, but I felt a big gap between knowing the concepts and actually building something. This add-on module was the perfect bridge. It wasn't just more lectures; it was a hands-on, project-driven experience. The instructors broke down the process of building a simple, functional website from scratch, and that's where everything clicked. Suddenly, CSS layouts made sense, JavaScript stopped being intimidating, and I could see how all three languages worked together like a well-rehearsed team. The best part was that by the end, I had a tangible project (a small, interactive land page of my hobby). This add-on didn't just help me earn a certificate; it gave me the confidence to actually use my new skills. It was the practical, foundational boost I needed to start my journey in web development. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to move from passive learning to active creating!
This workshop gave me a clear understanding of how to build a live world clock using JavaScript and Moment.js. I learned how to work with time zones, update content dynamically, and structure my code for clarity and responsiveness. It was a great way to apply front-end skills in a real project, and Iβm proud of what I created.
Very well explained course overall. A lot of resources are available. Got a lot of knowledge out of it. Love the little challenges between each lesson. This was super fun βοΈπ½.

This course taught me how to make websites responsive for mobile devices which will be extremely helpful moving forward in a coding career. Additionally, creating my own website to showcase my projects and skills helped build my confidence and put the lessons into practice.

The course has been really educational. I love how the content is structured. I do have a lot of practicing and perfecting my skill, and I aim to do just that!
This one was not easy, but it was still fun. With each lesson my skills were sharpened and also tested which made it an even better experience for me. If you want to grow your skills and knowledge of Coding I definitely recommend this!

When I first jumped into the workshop, I was not sure I would be able to pick it up and I would get overwhelmed. Once I got into it, I absolutely loved learning! Matt keeps the lessons short, interactive and makes you want to strive to figure out solutions. I really enjoyed the course!

After taking an unplanned break from SheCodes, this Basics Add On is amazing at helping dust off and refresh the mind.
After working as chef/recipe developer for 15 + years, I felt it was time for a career change. I had never considered a move into the tech world, but after Matt's free 1 hour workshop, it peeked my interest. With next to no IT knowledge going in, I found the course and lessons engaging, clear and easy to follow. I liked that you where encouraged to find solutions for yourself and to bring your own creativity within the requirements of the final project. Overall a good experience and I'm eager to continue my coding journey.
I loved how technology and creativity come to life through this program. I recommend anyone to take a stab and discover their potential to explore their capabilities.

Basics Add on is a great way to learn more sophisticated elements particularly around CSS transform and java script conditions.
Great lessons done by Matt really liked the problem solving ones as Ai can be a bit annoying when you trying to learn.
This course was exciting, being able to make a world clock with different time zones. It was well explained. Though it's a bit challenging, I am truly grateful to have something new and exciting

This add on really brought everything together, it was great getting an extra practice round with react and combining everything I learned
It's been great to start learning Python, knowing how important it is to software development. I'm looking forward to furthering my knowledge in the next module.
It's not what I expected. Finishing this course teaches me nothing practical about building a real-world website, like connecting with a database, authentication, etc. The courses (including add-ons) repeat the same stuff without offering anything new. Maybe the vanilla HTML, CSS, and JS are valid, but I would need to get different providers to build anything functional in real life to start my own business. Note that the world has moved on to TailwindCSS and Next.js, and SheCodes has not updated the content. Very expensive for learning super basic vanilla HTML, CSS and JS and an absolute beginner in React.
Following the Plus Workshop was a challenge, but one that I enjoyed. The very last bit (the forecast section) is indeed really tricky, but thanks to Matt's step-by-step instructions, it was still easy to follow! Thanks for the guidance and also for the support on Slack @SheCodes Team! :)

I learned about SheCodes when someone in one of my WhatsApp groups shared a post about a coding workshop for women in development. Although I faced challenges such as limited study time, I requested deadline extensions for homework and, later, for the workshop itself. Despite these obstacles, I completed the Basic Workshop. The video lessons were easy to learn and engaging, making me glad I registered for the workshop. This experience provides a good foundation for me as I intend to explore the use of computer programming in teaching, learning, and research. Thank you, Matt, and the team at Delac Foundation.

I enjoyed the Python AI course. It was both fun and a great challenge! It covered a lot of ground, but the lessons were structured perfectly, so it never felt too complicated or difficult to follow along. After tackling the Python basics, this course felt very manageable, not scary. This is absolutely a must-take course if you want to be competitive in the world of AI!

The project with added Dark and Light theme was fun and using the JS was interesting and a bit challenging.

Throughout the program, Iβve learned so much, especially when it comes to JavaScript, which was definitely the biggest challenge for meβ¦ but also the part I enjoyed the most! π»β¨ Iβve not only gained new technical skills but also the confidence and motivation to keep learning.
Building this project was quite interesting, especially when I had to integrate the API, it was a bit intense and tricky still. Adding some user experience was also a bit of a challenge, but what matters is that I did it and completed a big project using AI!

Completing this addition has been a wonderful experience and a valuable add-on to the beginner curriculum. The combination of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS provides a comprehensive foundation that is definitely worth the investment. The practical approach to building landing pages has significantly improved both design and functionality skills. This course has made creating effective and visually appealing landing pages much easier and more enjoyable.

The Python AI workshop gave me a practical introduction to combining weather data and AI-generated content using APIs. As part of the course, I built an itinerary planner that takes in user input and returns a customised travel plan, along with current weather updates for the chosen cities. It was a hands-on way to explore how Python can be used to build interactive, user-focused tools. The workshop offered a solid balance of structure and creativity. It makes me excited to apply Python to real-world use cases.

I just completed the 8-week SheCodes Plus course that concentrated on building a stronger in advanced JavaScript and using API's. I am so proud of how far Iβve come! This is a wonderful course for anyone interested in front-end development. The lessons were designed for advanced learners and the pace is great for those who have completed the beginner and intermediate levels. If you want to build slick, responsive website, this is the course for you!
