Why Astronomy?
From the moment I first looked through a telescope and saw Saturn's rings with my own eyes, I knew astronomy would forever change how I see the world. There's something magical about understanding that we're made of star stuff—literally carbon, oxygen, and iron forged in the hearts of dying stars billions of years ago.
Astronomy taught me to think on scales that humble the human experience while simultaneously making me feel connected to something infinitely larger. Every lesson was a journey—from learning about the lifecycle of stars to understanding how galaxies dance across the cosmos over billions of years.
What captivated me most was how astronomy combines rigorous science with profound philosophy. Questions like "Are we alone?" and "How did everything begin?" drove my curiosity and shaped my perspective on life, science, and our place in the universe.
